The subject matter of this Invitation is a modular connection system for sofa components; an optimized division of the frame into the seat base and backrest section, prototype-tested in a laboratory. The entire system of components referred to above was designed based on a unique curvilinear division. Also used was a proprietary ARTIX connector whose components (pin, sleeve, spring, ball bearing, t-nut, washer and nut) are arranged axially and lock the connection between the backrest and seat base components. The components will be locked if the connector attached to the backrest component slides into the hole of the backrest component and the profiles of the elements match each other. The unique module system is based on friction forces and a reverse connection (similar to an axial, corner, flat, rectangular, plug, offset connection) which make the components wedge against each other during use. The components are separated when the pin is pushed out of the holes of the seat base component and the backrest component is lifted (either simultaneously or not).
